الوقت الفعلي كما يُشير إليه الساعة الشمسية (المزولة)، استنادًا إلى الموضع الحقيقي للشمس في السماء. يختلف عن متوسط الوقت الشمسي بما يصل إلى 16 دقيقة بسبب المدار الإهليلجي لكوكب الأرض وميل المحور.
