Wuxi is a major city in eastern China's Jiangsu province, with a population of about 4.4 million. It keeps the country's single national standard, the Asia/Shanghai zone at UTC+8, maintained without daylight saving, so local time stays eight hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time year-round. Wuxi lies in the lower Yangtze delta, one of the most heavily urbanised regions of the country.
