Karachi is the most populous city in Pakistan, with around 11.6 million residents on the Arabian Sea coast near 25 degrees north latitude. It keeps Pakistan Standard Time at UTC+5 and does not observe daylight saving, so its clocks remain five hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time in every season. Positioned in the Northern Hemisphere just south of the Tropic of Cancer, the port city sees limited seasonal change in daylight.
