Chongqing is a vast municipality in southwestern China, its urban core home to roughly 7.5 million people near 30 degrees north latitude. It follows China Standard Time, the country's single UTC+8 offset, and observes no daylight saving, keeping local clocks eight hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time in all seasons.
